Geng DaoyingGeng Daoying

Prof. Geng Daoying has been engaged in medical diagnostic imaging for nearly 40 years, and has opened diagnostic imaging clinics for 25 years. She is a famous and experienced diagnostic imaging doctor known as "Golden Eyes of Fire" in the academic field; she always focuses on solving difficult clinical problems, focusing on the key issues in the diagnosis and treatment of major diseases such as cerebrovascular diseases, brain tumors, brain degenerative diseases, and systemic clinical difficulties and complications, etc. She is also an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases. She has always focused on solving difficult clinical problems and has created key CT/MRI imaging techniques for major brain diseases, which have been widely applied to the clinical frontline.

Many papers written by Prof. Geng Daoying have been published in top journals in the industry, such as European Radiology, Biomaterials, Acta Pharm Sin B, NeuroImage, Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, Journal of Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism, and EClinical Medicine.

Major achievements and contributions:

  1. Prof. Geng Daoying proposed a new theory of anatomical imaging: creating a three-dimensional image localization system of national brain anatomy and sulcus gyrus, which solves the problem of difficult alignment of brain images with tissue anatomy and low localization accuracy, and lays a solid foundation for the precise outlining of stereotactic radiotherapy and intraoperative neuroimaging navigation technology.
  2. A new functional imaging techniques applied in clinical practice has been created to solve the clinical problems that cannot be solved by conventional imaging techniques: a set of functional MRI imaging stereotactic system integrating various imaging techniques has been established, which has become an accurate navigation for preoperative delineation and grading of brain tumors as well as intraoperative resection and localization.
  3. Based on medical-industrial crossover research and development of new intelligent imaging products, to improve the imaging physician's reading efficiency and accuracy: Prof. Geng Daoying led the team to research and develop artificial intelligence diagnostic software for brain tumors, cerebrovascular diseases and other major diseases and landed in hospitals, leading neuroimaging into the new field of intellectualization.
