Liang Jianping

Prof. Liang Jianping has been engaged in veterinary medicine development and animal disease prevention and control research for 40 years; He has published 168 papers as the first or corresponding author, including 60 SCI papers, and published 8 monographs (or co-authored), 2 of which have been approved by the National College Textbooks and Academic Works Publication Review Committee and become professional books for animal medicine and animal pharmacy; 10 local new varieties of Chinese medicinal materials were obtained; As the first inventor, 37 national invention authorized patents were applied (1 U.S. patent), all of which were transferred to related enterprises, generating greater economic benefits, and won the Gansu Provincial Patent Award (first place) in 2021. It has won 2 national awards (5th place), 1 first-class award in Xizang Science and Technology Progress (4th place), 2 second prize in Gansu Science and Technology Progress (Invention) (1st place) and 12 other awards (1st place). Economic benefits exceeded 30 billion yuan. Prof. Liang Jianping been awarded the Ministry of Agriculture outstanding contributions of young and middle-aged experts and enjoy The State Council special government subsidies, has been awarded the China Association for Science and Technology awarded "Outstanding contribution to the development of western China", the Central United Front Work Department "contributions to the overall construction of well-off society of advanced individuals", Gansu Provincial Party Committee awarded "Gansu Longshang Sedan Chair", "Lanzhou City Science and Technology Merit Award", In 2008, he was selected into the "100 People Plan" of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and awarded the honorary title of "Senior Chief Expert" of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2024.

Major scientific achievements:

• Prof. Liang presided over the completion of a number of major projects such as the national "Tenth Five-Year Plan" and the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" National support Plan, developed new veterinary drugs to prevent avian flu for the first time and applied them at home and abroad, achieved good results, with obvious theoretical innovation, won the National Major Achievement Award, the second prize of Invention in Gansu Province, and obtained 1 invention patent authorization in the United States and 5 invention patents authorization in China. The results were reported by many media outlets such as Agence France-Presse and Hong Kong's Ta Kung Pao.
• As the chief expert of the national leapfrog Plan project, Prof. Liang presided over the industrialization and demonstration project of safe veterinary drugs, promoted the results in the dairy farm of Gansu Kaiyue Biotechnology Company, and realized the substitution of traditional Chinese medicine for antibiotics and zero antibiotic residue under the condition of not reducing the production performance.
• As the main backbone to participate in national research projects: "Quinalone" synthesis and application project, my work is mainly compound synthesis and screening, target search and pharmacology work, through nearly 20 years of efforts, obtained the country's first chemical drugs of two new class A veterinary medicine certificate (raw materials and preparations), transferred to China Animal Husbandry Co., LTD., currently as China's independent research and development of chemical drugs widely used in the country.
• He attached great importance to training graduate students and promoted the progress of the industry, and made contribution to the development of veterinary medicine.
